Libby has been attending births for 10 years! She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then a birth doula, and quickly became interested in midwifery. Graduating from the Midwives College of Utah in 2019 with over 3,000 hours of clinical work in addition to academics. This included a small, rural home birth practice on the Oregon Coast and Treasure Valley Midwives, a birth center/home birth practice in Boise, Idaho. Following graduation, Libby earned her Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and completed a year-long fellowship with Treasure Valley Midwives. She then worked at The Birth Center in Salt Lake City for 3 years before transitioning to a slower-paced home birth practice. Libby chooses to be licensed in order to provide a wider scope of care and have access to certain medications and equipment. She supports VBAC/HBAC.
